NEW YORK and WASHINGTON, DC (February 8, 2017) — BTI Consulting Group has named three McDermott Will & Emery lawyers as “Client Service All-Stars” in the 2017 edition of its annual report recognizing the nation’s top lawyers for excellence in client service.
McDermott’s 2017 all-stars are skilled trial lawyer and former chairman, Peter J. Sacripanti; noted first chair litigator, Will F Stute; and corporate tax counsel David D. Sherwood.

Client Service All-Star Peter J. Sacripanti, focuses on strategic business advice and disputes. He has advised boards of directors and corporations on various matters including activists campaigns, whistleblower accusations, bankruptcy trust and commercial disputes, investigations and mass tort allegations. Ranked among the country’s top lawyers by Chambers USA, Peter is known for his creative and practical business oriented advice. Peter also has a reputation of being an aggressive litigator. The General Counsel of a Fortune 50 company once remarked, “If you’re going to have a fight, he is your guy.”
Will F. Stute’s status as a Client Service All-Star is based on his experience as a trial lawyer and trusted business advisor. Will has significant first chair trial experience in the state and federal courts around the country and in a variety of arbitration forums. His practice focuses on matters involving commercial fraud, shareholder derivative and class actions, and multi-district and business litigation. Will also represents companies and individuals in US Securities and Exchange Commission and other regulatory agency investigations and proceedings.
And rounding out McDermott’s 2017 Client Service All-Stars is tax counsel David D. Sherwood. David focuses his practice on a broad range of domestic tax issues affecting corporations, joint ventures and their owners, including the tax treatment of spin-offs and other restructurings, consolidated returns, the availability of deductions on the worthlessness or other disposition of stock, and the formation of investment partnerships, real estate partnerships, corporate joint ventures and multinational group internal partnerships. David also has extensive experience dealing with complicated business appraisals and issues concerning the disclosure of tax shelters and other reportable transactions.
