International law firm McDermott Will & Schulte advised Barings in connection with its financing of Zenchef and CoverManager, two providers of digital solutions for restaurants who have joined forces to create a leading European restaurant revenue management platform.
Zenchef, launched in 2011 in France and backed by PSG since 2022, delivers a comprehensive software suite for the restaurant industry, covering online reservations, venue operations, marketing automation, and payment processing. The platform has a strong presence across Europe, with leading positions in France, Belgium, and the Netherlands.
Founded in 2015, CoverManager is headquartered in Spain and offers digital solutions for reservations and guest management. Its services extend beyond restaurants to include nightclubs and beach clubs, with a footprint spanning Europe and Latin America.
The strategic combination has resulted in a leading platform serving a network of more than 36,000 restaurants in over 20 countries, and handling more than 650 million guest experiences each year.
Barings is a $456+ billion global asset management firm (1) that partners with institutional, insurance, and intermediary clients, and supports leading businesses with flexible financing solutions. The firm, a subsidiary of MassMutual, seeks to deliver excess returns by leveraging its global scale and capabilities across public and private markets in fixed income, real assets and capital solutions.
