McDermott Will & Emery advised Unsere Champions GmbH on the acquisition of the Munich-based kindergarten group, Isarkids.
With around 100 employees, Isarkids Group operates several kindergartens and nursery schools across seven locations in Munich and Landshut. The Isarkids companies filed for insolvency in September 2018. Unsere Champions succeeded in a bidding process organized by the trustee, and finally took over all shares in the Isarkids companies.
Unsere Champions operates kindergartens and nursery schools at several locations in Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg. The majority shareholder of Unsere Champions is the French Enjoy Group, which had already established a network of more than 40 nursery schools in France under the name Crèche 1, 2, 3 Soleil.
The McDermott team advising Unsere Champions was led by Frankfurt partner Norman Wasse and included Marc Oberhardt, Thomas Gennert, Nina Siewert, Marion von Grönheim, Philipp Kutscher and Julian Jäger.
