Overview
Omar Abdel-Hamid focuses his practice on employment law. Omar represents public and private companies in complex labor and employment matters through all stages of litigation in federal and state courts, administrative proceedings, and alternative dispute resolution. Omar’s experience includes handling complex disputes involving restrictive covenants, trade secrets, executive compensation and separations, workforce restructurings, Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act compliance, wage and hour issues, discrimination and harassment claims, and collective bargaining matters.
In addition, Omar advises clients on a wide range of employment issues, including employee handbooks and policies, employee classification, internal complaints and investigations, and employee discipline and separations. He has extensive experience negotiating and drafting restrictive covenants, executive employment agreements, and separation agreements. Omar also regularly counsels buyers and sellers on labor and employment issues that arise during mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, and corporate restructurings.
