Practices in the areas of complex commercial litigation, including securities, director and officer liability matters, trusts and estate litigation, partnership disputes and derivative actions.

She also works regularly with the Justice Resource Center, an organization that has been described as the country’s model urban initiative for civic and law related education.

Results


  • Part of trial team that won an acquittal for the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of C.R. Bard, a Fortune 500 company, following an 8 week jury trial on charges of conspiracy to defraud the Food and Drug Administration.
  • Consulted with major teaching hospital regarding participation in litigation commenced by American Hospital Association against Secretary of Health and Human Services.
  • Developed compliance program for independent clinical laboratory.
  • Represented independent clinical laboratory in investigation commenced by Medicare carrier.
  • Represented chief executive officer of independent clinical laboratory in connection with prosecution by Attorney General.
  • Developed, implemented and oversaw hospital wide utilization review program; developed, implemented and oversaw hospital wide and departmental quality assessment program; participated in medical staff appointment and credentialing decisions, including disciplinary actions; drafted by-laws; represented medical staff regarding professional matters, including disputes with Peer Review Organization; represented hospital interests in connection with matters raised by federal and state regulatory agencies; earned the respect and admiration of a recalcitrant medical staff.
