• Advised Gemspring Capital, a middle-market private equity firm, in its sale of Insurvia, Inc., a franchise-model independent insurance agency and financial services holding company that operates the Fiesta Auto Insurance and La Familia Auto Insurance brands, to an affiliate of Bharcap Partners. McDermott represented Gemspring in acquiring both Fiesta and La Familia
• Advised MGG Investment Group, a direct lending investment firm, in connection with the signing of a definitive agreement for Conning & Company, Generali Investments’ wholly-owned subsidiary, to acquire a majority stake in MGG for $320 million
