Overview
Bhanu Sadasivan focuses her practice on patent litigation, with an emphasis in the life sciences industry. She has experience litigating patent cases concerning recombinant DNA technology, pharmaceutical formulation, computer hardware and software.
Prior to law school, she received her PhD in Immunology from Yale University and was a postdoctoral research fellow at Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, and was a recipient of the Arthritis Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship. Bhanu is the co-author of several scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals.

- Representing Natera in litigation over patents covering methods of preparing DNA
- Represented Quidel in a patent litigation over lateral flow assay method
- Represented Amgen in a patent litigation matter over novel antibody therapeutics for the treatment of high LDL-cholesterol (Amgen v. Sanofi, et al., (D. Delaware))
- Represented Ambry Genetics in an IPR proceeding that resulted in institution of two of the petitions before favorable settlement
- Represented Ambry Genetics in a patent litigation case against Esoterix that resulted in a favorable settlement
- Represented Depomed in a Hatch-Waxman litigation that resulted in the finding that the asserted claims from seven patents were valid and infringed upon
- Represented Ambry Genetics in a patent litigation case against Myriad that resulted in a finding of lack of patentable subject matter under § 101
- Represented APTwater and Stantec Consulting in a patent infringement case that resulted in a favorable claim construction ruling
- Represented 23andMe in litigation over a patent covering a method of finding relative relationships
- Represented Alnylam in a patent infringement case where standing to file a lawsuit was successfully established
