Richard Tsay regularly represents private equity funds, public and private companies and family offices in mergers, acquisitions, investments and a broad range of general corporate and governance matters.

While in law school, Richard served at The University of Chicago Law School’s Innovation Clinic, helping startups with various corporate law issues, and as a venture associate at The University of Chicago’s George Shultz Innovation Fund, performing due diligence and evaluating life sciences startups.

Results


  • Represented Wells Enterprises, Inc., the largest producer of ice cream and frozen treats in the United States, including Blue Bunny, Blue Ribbon Classics, Bomb Pop and Halo Top Creamery, in the sale of its company
  • Represented The Sterling Group and its portfolio company, Fencing Supply Group, the largest wholesale distributor of fencing supplies in the US, in its acquisition of Merchants Metals, Binford Supply and numerous other fencing supply and distribution businesses
  • Represented Lindsay Goldberg in a variety of transactions, including the sale of Women’s Care Enterprises, the sale of PT Solutions and numerous acquisitions
