Marjorie Soto Recognized with the Hispanic National Bar Association’s Top Lawyers Under 40 Award

International law firm McDermott Will & Emery is pleased to announce that associate Marjorie Soto has been recognized with the Hispanic National Bar Association’s Top Lawyers Under 40 Award. The award honors lawyers who have demonstrated professional excellence, integrity, leadership, commitment to the Hispanic community, and dedication to improving the legal profession.

A member of McDermott’s Employment practice, Marjorie represents employers in complex wage and hour litigation, traditional labor and collective bargaining matters, mergers and acquisitions, and private equity transactions. Fully English/Spanish bilingual, Marjorie frequently interfaces with witnesses and parties and drafts written communications in both languages.

Empowered by her life experiences of being a first-generation Latina and the first in her family to attend law school, Marjorie is a strong believer in “paying it forward.” Outside of McDermott, she is committed to mentoring and is engaged in various service activities with youth advocacy and education organizations. She is also active within several community and legal associations, including the Hispanic National Bar Association, California Minority Counsel Program, and Latina Lawyers Bar Association.

Hispanic National Bar Association members from all segments of the profession (including private practice, government, public interest, academia, and corporate legal departments) were eligible for the award.
