She joins from Proskauer.
“Cary is exactly the kind of ambitious, client-focused partner we need to continue growing our Private Client presence in Los Angeles and nationally,” said Neil Kawashima, Global Head of McDermott’s Private Client Practice Group. “Her technical excellence, deep relationships, and proven ability to advise multigenerational families and family offices will strengthen our platform and help us deliver even greater value to clients on the West Coast.”
Cary advises UHNW individuals and families, family offices, and business owners on designing, implementing, and administering complex wealth-transfer structures and fiduciary arrangements that address tax efficiency, generational succession, asset protection, and family governance. She also routinely advises on clients’ charitable giving and the formation and administration of clients’ charitable foundations.
“I am thrilled to join McDermott’s market-leading Private Client team,” said Cary. “The firm’s collaborative culture and global platform will allow me to work seamlessly across practices and geographies to advise clients in California and around the world on complex wealth planning matters and deliver thoughtful, integrated solutions.”
