The International Bar Association will present the 5th edition of the annual “French-Spanish Day” this March in Madrid.

Almudena Arpón de Mendívil, Madrid-based partner of Gómez-Acebo & Pombo and Jacques Buhart, Paris-based partner of McDermott Will & Emery will co-chair the event. Nicolas Lafont, Paris-based partner of McDermott Will & Emery will also be on the organizing committee. Guillaume Kellner will also be participating as a speaker.

This conference will provide an opportunity for leading Spanish and French lawyers and decision-makers in the corporate, finance and regulatory fields, to increase mutual knowledge and discuss issues of shared interest in an open environment.

Topics covered include the French/Spanish Treaty of Friendship, recent French and Spanish acquisitions, and the legal environment for Spanish investment in France.
