International law firm McDermott Will & Emery is pleased to announce that partners Lisa Mazur and Christopher Gladbach have been named to Law360’s Rising Stars for their outstanding work in the areas of health care and project finance.
Based in the Chicago office, Lisa Mazur is co-chair of McDermott’s Digital Health industry group and leads the Telehealth affinity group. Lisa advises a variety of health care providers and technology companies involved in “digital health” – the intersection of health software applications, analytical tools, medical technology and electronic data assets enabled by the Internet and mobile devices – on the applicable legal and regulatory infrastructure, with a particular focus on telehealth, telemedicine, mobile health and consumer wellness programs. Lisa helps her clients identify and understand timely legal issues, and develop and implement practical, forward-thinking compliance and revenue strategies, and meet head-on the complex and still-evolving digital health regulatory landscape.
She also advises providers on professional licensure, scope of practice, nonprofit corporate governance matters, tax-exemption issues, conflict of interest compliance, clinical research compliance and overall corporate compliance effectiveness as well as counsels on leading-edge health industry relationship formation and realignments, with a focus on development of provider networks and strategies for achieving greater collaboration among providers.
Christopher Gladbach is a partner in McDermott’s corporate practice and is based in Washington, D.C.. Chris works with energy clients in structuring complex equity and debt investments. He advises buyers and sellers in the power sector on mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures, and provide guidance on the development of large-scale energy projects. He assists clients in mitigating and allocating risk associated with these transactions in pursuit of their primary business and financial objectives.
Chris also has extensive experience involving the development and financing of United States Department of Defense (DoD) energy projects. He counsels developers, purchasers, lenders and tax equity investors in government contracts and structuring project development and financing arrangements to account for unique risks. In addition, Chris represents market-leading private equity funds and institutional investors in power asset transactions, and understands the unique challenges and opportunities that these clients face.
