McDermott Welcomes Cybersecurity Partner Natallia Karniyevich to Regulatory Practice in Düsseldorf

DÜSSELDORF, July 1, 2025 – McDermott Will & Emery is pleased to announce Natallia Karniyevich has joined its Regulatory Practice Group as a partner based in Düsseldorf. Natallia joins from Bird & Bird, where she co-led the International Cybersecurity Steering Group and provided expert advice on intricate cybersecurity and data protection issues.

Natallia specializes in cybersecurity compliance, incident response, and contractual risk management. Her experience spans a variety of sectors, including life sciences, healthcare, telecommunications, digital infrastructure, and financial services. Her arrival significantly enhances McDermott’s European cybersecurity capabilities, particularly as clients navigate the evolving regulatory landscape, such as the NIS2 Directive, the Directive on the Resilience of Critical Entities, and the Cyber Resilience Act.

Natallia is a recognized thought leader in cybersecurity regulation, frequently publishing and speaking on the subject. She also regularly gives a talk as a guest speaker at the Berlin School of Economics and Law.
