McDermott Advises Consortium of Lenders on Refinancing of Schell’s Acquisition by Paragon Partners

Munich, September 4, 2025 – McDermott Will & Schulte advised a consortium of lenders consisting of ABN Amro, CIC Private Debt, LBBW, and ODDO BHF on the refinancing of the acquisition of Schell GmbH & Co. KG by Paragon Partners.

Schell, headquartered in Olpe, Germany, specializes in fittings, sanitary technology products, and digital solutions for maintaining drinking water quality. The company has approximately 450 employees and operates in more than 80 countries.

Paragon is an owner-managed investment company that has been investing in established medium-sized companies in German-speaking countries since its foundation in 2004. The Munich-based company manages equity capital of more than €2.4 billion.

The McDermott team was led by partners Ludwig Zesch and Matthias Weissinger and comprised counsel Maximilian Meyer and associate Bastiaan Wolters.
