McDermott Strengthens Life Sciences Sector Focus: Rüdiger Herrmann and Team Join Frankfurt Office

Frankfurt (April 16 2018)Leading international law firm McDermott Will & Emery is continuing to strengthen its Transactions practice in Frankfurt and is pleased to announce that renowned corporate life sciences partner Rüdiger Herrmann and his team of three lawyers – Jochen Eimer, Alicia Hong and Monika E. Richter – have joined the firm as of 16 April 2018. The addition of Rüdiger’s team bolsters the firm’s top-ranked German practice and its robust international life sciences offering.
Rüdigeradvises national and international clients in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and licensing agreements, IPOs, private equity and venture capital transactions as well as IP-related matters. He has particularly deep experience advising on life sciences matters in Europe, the US, China and Taiwan.
Rüdiger is joined by fellow partner Jochen Eimer, whose practice focuses on transactions in the biotech, pharma and medtech sectors. Jochen’s practice also includes regulatory matters, advising clients on compliance, anti-corruption, pricing and reimbursement, as well as licensing, cooperation and R&D and other commercial agreements.
AlongsideRüdiger and Jochen, Alicia Hong and Monika E. Richter are joining McDermott as counsel and will focus on transactional work in China and Eastern Europe, respectively.
