Munich, June 18, 2025 – McDermott Will & Emery advised Main Capital Partners on the acquisition and the financing of the acquisition of software provider CONTECHNET by Main’s portfolio company i-doit.
The transaction marks the first add-on acquisition since Main Capital Partners invested in i-doit in June 2022 and represents an important milestone in establishing i-doit as a leading European player in the IT Operations Management (ITOM) landscape.
i-doit, founded in 1996, offers CMDB software that supports the management of the customer’s IT as well as asset landscape and facilitates IT Service management. Headquartered in Düsseldorf, Germany, i-doit serves around 1,700 customers from various verticals, particularly the public sector.
Founded in 2007 and headquartered in Pattensen, Germany, CONTECHNET is a specialist software provider focused on Information Security Management Systems (ISMS), IT emergency planning, and data protection. Serving over 400 customers across industries such as finance, healthcare, education, and utilities, CONTECHNET partners with a nationwide network of over 40 certified resellers and integrators.
Main Capital Partners is a leading software investor managing private equity funds active in the Benelux, DACH, France, the Nordics, and the United States with approx. €6.5 billion in Assets under Management. Main maintains an active portfolio of over 45 software companies.
