Munich, October 22, 2025 — McDermott Will & Schulte has advised Munich-based Studio 100 International GmbH on the formation of a strategic partnership with French media company Animaj Investment SPV SAS. As part of the transaction, Animaj is acquiring comprehensive international IP rights to the cult series “Maya the Bee.”

Within the scope of the cooperation, Studio 100 retains the IP rights in the DACH and Benelux regions and continues to produce and exploit theatrical production on a worldwide scale, including the Maya spin-off “Arnie and Barney” which will be in cinemas next year. Animaj will focus on expanding the brand’s digital and international footprint.

Studio 100 International is a leading global production and distribution company specializing in high-quality films and series for children and families. The company represents a portfolio of well-known brands such as Maya the Bee, Mia and Me, Heidi, 100% Wolf, and the Vegesaurs.

Headquartered in Paris, Animaj is a next-generation media company with a digital, cross-platform, and AI-powered approach. With over 240 million unique viewers on YouTube every month, Animaj is one of the largest providers of digital children’s media worldwide.
