McDermott Will & Emery has advised Investcorp Technology Partners on the acquisition of a majority stake in Contentserv Group. The closing of the transaction is subject to customary antitrust approvals.
For Investcorp, the acquisition marks the sixth deal from its $400 million Fourth Technology Fund and the second acquisition of a software company in the DACH region within a year.
Swiss Contentserv was founded in 2012 and has grown to become a global market leader in Product Information Management (PIM) software. The company has successfully expanded from its core market in the DACH region into Benelux, France, Asia and the US. The founders of Contentserv will remain significantly invested in Investcorp and will continue to lead the business going forward.
Investcorp Technology Partners focuses on investments in fast-growing founder-owned companies headquartered in Europe. The Technology team is a market leader in investing in lower mid-market technology companies with a specific focus on software, data analytics, cybersecurity and fintech payments. Since 2001, Investcorp has raised over $1.5 billion in funding for technology investments.
