McDermott Will & Emery advised the sellers of Arges Group on the sale of all shares in Germany based Arges GmbH including its subsidiary to Novanta Inc. The closing of the transaction is expected for the third quarter of 2019 and is subject to approval of the German Federal Cartel Office (Bundeskartellamt).
Arges located in Wackersdorf, Germany, develops and manufactures innovative laser scanning systems for positioning and deflecting laser beams in industrial materials processing and medical applications, in particular for the field of ophthalmology.
Boston-based Novanta Inc. is a corporation publicly listed on the NASDAQ Global Select Market. The company is a leading global supplier of core technology solutions for medical and advanced industrial equipment manufacturers.
