DÜSSELDORF (November 2, 2015) – McDermott advised the Blackstone Group and Event Hospitality Group on the successful acquisition of 29 hotels in Germany and The Netherlands for a total value of $260 million from Accor Hotels, a leading European hospitality company. The hotel portfolio acquired is comprised of 18 hotels (2,167 rooms) in Germany and 11 hotels (1,187 rooms) in The Netherlands.
The portfolio comprises 2 ibis budget, 11 ibis, 12 Mercure and 4 Novotel hotels. The deal is subject to merger control clearance in Germany and The Netherlands.
